Overview

The Simucube ActivePedal is the most futuristic pedal in sim racing. Instead of a passive load cell, ActivePedal uses a powerful actuator that actively resists and responds to events in the sim. This allows you to define ABS, lockups and even the point where the brake “bites” entirely in software – exactly as Max Verstappen experiences it in the Team Redline simulator.

Who is ActivePedal made for?

Perfect for:

  • Esports teams and drivers who want exactly the same feedback as in a real race car
  • Sim racers who want to effortlessly switch between F1, GT and rally without hardware adjustment
  • Engineering-driven teams who program different brake curves per circuit

Less suitable for:

  • Hobbyists with a limited total budget for their rig
  • Racers without solid aluminum cockpit or without data analysis knowledge
  • Console users – ActivePedal only works on PC

Key Features

  • Programmable Force Curve – set brake resistance, trail-brake and bite-point via TrueDrive.
  • Feedback events – send vibrations and feedback based on ABS, slip or telemetry.
  • Profile switch – switch within seconds between endurance, F1 or rain profiles.
  • Series configuration – use multiple ActivePedals for throttle and clutch; mixing with traditional pedals is also possible.

Installation

  • Comes with controller box and power supply; per pedal you need your own motor and PSU.
  • Mounting via M8 slots (note: the pedal is heavier than traditional models).
  • TrueDrive recognizes ActivePedal immediately and lets you share/import profiles.

Alternatives

  • Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Ultimate+ – high-end load cell with hydraulic damping
  • Simtag Hydraulics – real hydraulic resistance without active feedback
  • VRS DirectForce Pro Pedals – new motor-driven set in comparable price range

Conclusion

ActivePedal is an investment for the absolute top of sim racing. It’s the only pedal that actively moves with your telemetry and can thus deliver the same feedback as a real brake-by-wire car. If you want to copy Max’s Team Redline setup, this pedal belongs to it.

Our rating: 9.4/10 – revolutionary technology with a price that’s only accessible to pros and fanatical teams.
