1. Who we are

MySimRig is a Dutch affiliate website that compares and recommends sim racing hardware. We earn commission through affiliate links to partners including (but not limited to) Bol.com, Coolblue, Amazon, Fanatec, Moza, and Trak Racer. We do not sell products ourselves and only process data necessary to improve our website and communicate with our community.

2. Personal data we process

We process as little personal data as possible. Depending on how you use our website, this may include:

• Contact details such as name and email address when you email us.
• Technical data such as IP address, device and browser information (anonymized where possible) for statistics.
• Affiliate click data (timestamp and destination partner) so we know which links are used.

We do not process payment information; transactions take place exclusively on our partners' websites.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

We use personal data only for the following purposes:

• Answering questions submitted via email (contract performance).
• Analyzing website usage to optimize our content (legitimate interest).
• Recording affiliate clicks to correctly attribute commissions (legitimate interest).

4. Affiliate partners and third parties

When you click an affiliate link on our website, you will be directed to a partner's site. That partner may place cookies or collect data according to their own privacy policy. We have no control over this. We only work with parties that comply with GDPR and publish their own privacy statement.

This cookie only recognizes that you were referred via MySimRig and contains no directly identifiable information.

6. Retention periods and security

We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Emails and contact requests are retained for a maximum of 12 months. We use anonymized statistics for trend analyses indefinitely.

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss and unauthorized access. Only team members who need data for their work are granted access.

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Access to the data we have about you.
• Correction or deletion of personal data.
• Restriction of or objection to processing.
• Data portability (if applicable).

8. Visits by minors

Our content is aimed at adults. We do not knowingly process data from persons under 16 years of age. If we receive information from a minor without parental/guardian consent, please contact us so we can delete this data.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy when our services or laws and regulations change. The most recent version can always be found at mysimrig.nl/en/privacy. Check regularly for updates.
